Fall 2022 Interns
The Milk District is a diversely dynamic neighborhood for locals that has become a draw for the region and a must-stop for visitors to get to know the city, a hive of creativity and culture in the heart of Orlando. The District strives to lead the region as home to authentic cultural experiences, destination dining, live entertainment, outdoor activities, and an innovative workforce.
As an intern for The Milk District, your primary responsibility will be to assist the Executive Director with social media promotion, digital marketing, business communication, & event management.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Marketing: Design promotional campaigns for special events. Create and distribute posters, press releases, social media posts, e-blasts, and other marketing materials, and distribution in the community. Assist sponsors with the design and placement of advertisements.
Fundraising and sponsorship development: Help us cultivate, nurture, and grow a network of committed donors and sponsorship partnerships. Identify, research, and rate prospective businesses as event sponsors. Develop and create customized solicitations to potential event and recreation sponsors.
Event Planning and Production: Assist in producing all events, including State of the Milk annual meeting, Milk Mixer networking events, MIlk Mart, Krampusfest, The Drop In, and variety of other smaller community events
Assisting the Executive Director, as needed.
A weekly stipend will be paid to help cover incidentals.
