Change the world by changing the neighborhood
Our committees steer and help accomplish much of the work that the District does, and we’re always looking to add new points of view and hard workers to our committees. By joining a committee, community members can help decide how and where DIstrict resources are spent, and help us move our area forward. Often, committee members go on to join our all-volunteer board.
Each committee meets 1-2 times a month for about an hour, and members are asked to complete some tasks between meetings and attend/staff events put on by the committee. The commitment is usually around 5 hours per month.

Promotions and Events Committee
positions the Milk District as the center of the community and hub of economic activity, while creating a positive image that showcases a community’s unique characteristics.
design Committee
supports The Milk District’s transformation by enhancing the physical and visual assets that set the area apart.
Economic Vitality Committee
focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators.
Organization Committee
involves creating a strong foundation for a sustainable revitalization effort, including cultivating partnerships, community involvement, and resources for the district.
