Deck The Milk returns for 2019
Dear Milk District members and businesses,
It’s Window Decorating season again. We are hoping to bring some cheer to The District this holiday season, and we'd like for you to be a part of it!
The Milk District deserves a little sprucing and dressing up for the holidays, so let's show Orlando what we've got! Besides adding a fun aesthetic for the season, this is a great way to get some extra holiday promotion! What better way to promote your business, than make your window stand out like a shining beacon of joy? Let's draw holiday shoppers to your business and show our wonderful district off.
In order to celebrate throughout the season, we would love to have windows up by Thanksgiving.
Holiday Window Design Contest Guidelines:
You can make your window dressing as simple as you'd like, or as creatively complex as you can. There will be three categories of judging that will occur the 3rd week of December. Keep your ears and eyes out for our design committee elves. They will be out and about making their lists, and checking them twice. You have creative freedom with your windows, as long as there aren't any offensive design elements, have at it!

Neighbors’ Choice - As soon as your windows are dressed, take a photo and share on Instagram with the tag @themilkdistrict, and use the hashtags #deckthemilk and #themilkdistrict. We will do our part to share your window display. Whichever post has the most likes will win the social media contest. (Hint, hint, the sooner your decorations are up, the more likes you'll receive for the duration.) We will encourage everyone who comes to the December 20 Milky Way event to check out your windows and like their favorites online, bringing you more votes and eyeballs.
The Milkiest - Help us celebrate the heritage if our neighborhood with a milk, cow, dairy, or milk-alternative themed window!
Most Creative - In what ways can you stand out in the neighborhood as an individual and a business? Decorate your window in the most creative fashion you can. Upside down holiday tree? Krampus? A product of yours decorated in full festive fashion? Get creative and make your window unique.
